1. Engineering Analysis: Perform load calculations, pressure drop calculations, energy analysis, ventilation calculations, and static pressure analysis to design systems that meet project requirements.

  2. System Design: Assemble neat and high quality drawings and specifications that clearly detail project requirements.

  3. Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into overall project designs.

  4. Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into HVAC designs.

  5. Construction Support: Provide technical support during the construction phase, reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs and conducting site visits as needed.

  6. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of design documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.

  7. Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide technical expertise during project development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

  • Proven experience designing HVAC systems, including load calculations and equipment selection

  • Proficiency in HVAC design software and tools (e.g. AutoCAD, HVAC load calculation software)

  • Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and regulations

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
