Engineering Analysis: Perform load calculations, pressure drop calculations, energy analysis, ventilation calculations, and static pressure analysis to design systems that meet project requirements.
System Design: Assemble neat and high quality drawings and specifications that clearly detail project requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into HVAC designs.
Construction Support: Provide technical support during the construction phase, reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs and conducting site visits as needed.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of design documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide technical expertise during project development.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proven experience designing HVAC systems, including load calculations and equipment selection
Proficiency in HVAC design software and tools (e.g. AutoCAD, HVAC load calculation software)
Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and regulations
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
